At CCIA, we use art to open conversations, build belonging, and help people imagine more inclusive and connected communities. Our work isn't about teaching technical skills; it’s about using the creative process to create space for learning, reflection, and connection.

Your Gift in Action

By keeping our programming free, we ensure creativity remains a shared resource rather than a barrier.

Your donation directly funds:

  • Opening the Doors: Covering overhead for sensory-friendly and trauma-informed spaces that welcome everyone.

  • Materials in Hands: Providing high-quality creative tools and accessibility aids to keep our sessions low-barrier.

  • Sustaining Free Access: Ensuring that no adult is ever turned away from our workshops due to a lack of funds.

  • Fueling Social Change: Supporting the research and advocacy that proves creativity is a vital tool for community resilience.

A Note on Your Gift

Creative Community Impact Association is a federally incorporated nonprofit.

What does this mean for your donation?
In Canada, nonprofits and charities are both organizations that give back to the community, but they are structured differently. Because we are a nonprofit, we are not able to issue official tax receipts.

However, your gift is a direct investment in the tools, materials, and inclusive spaces needed to keep our programming free for every adult. You are funding a movement for a more connected, inclusive, and resilient Kjipuktuk (Halifax)., and beyond as we continue to grow.

Choosing to support our work is an act of care.

Whether you give a little or a lot, your contribution helps create spaces where creativity is used to learn, connect, and build more inclusive communities.

Thank you for your support!

We honour the Peace and Friendship Treaties and recognize that we are all Treaty People, with a shared responsibility to uphold these historic and living agreements. As a community-driven non-profit, we are committed to advancing equity, accessibility, and inclusivity in all that we do. We hold deep respect for Indigenous rights, voices, and leadership, and strive to build relationships rooted in accountability, collaboration, and care.
