Creative Collaborations

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do

We partner with community organizations, cultural spaces, public institutions, and research-adjacent collaborators across Canada to deliver accessible, inclusive, arts-based programming rooted in local community connection.

Our collaborations are flexible and responsive, helping us better understand local needs, reduce barriers to participation, and strengthen inclusive practice in the arts. Together, these partnerships support meaningful community engagement and the ongoing development of accessibility-focused programming across the sector.

Public Institutions & Municipal Partners

Halifax Public Libraries

Our ongoing collaboration with Halifax Public Libraries is rooted in a shared belief in the power of accessible arts and community connection. Following successful arts-based workshops, we are excited to continue this partnership through our upcoming film screening and panel discussion in Paul O’Regan Hall, as well as upcoming creative programming in Fall 2026. Together, we are creating welcoming spaces where people can explore ideas, build relationships, and engage with the arts.

Halifax Public Works

We are collaborating with Halifax Public Works through upcoming EcoArts Lab initiatives that explore waste management, environmental stewardship, and sustainability through hands-on creative practice. These community sessions engage participants in material-based making processes, such as transforming everyday waste into artistic materials.

Arts & Culture Organizations

Visual Arts Nova Scotia

We collaborated with Visual Arts Nova Scotia on our workshop Writing for Accessibility in the Arts. The session brought together artists and arts organizations to share practices and explore approaches to creating more inclusive and accessible arts spaces.

Access Art Alliance

We collaborate with Access Art Alliance on ongoing projects that support accessibility, visibility, and connection within the arts community. This partnership includes contributions to their national Art Map initiative, where we participated in training, explored outdoor public art installations across the Halifax Regional Municipality, completed accessibility assessments, and contributed documentation to the platform.

Our collaboration continues to evolve through additional shared projects focused on accessible arts practice and community engagement.

National Canadian Film Day

As an official screening partner of National Canadian Film Day 2026, we presented Canadian storytelling that highlighted environmental themes, fostering dialogue around sustainability, community engagement, and the role of the arts in environmental awareness.

The Q (LGBTQ Creative Network)

We are pleased to collaborate with The Q as a sponsor and panel partner for a special Pride Pedagogy program event, featuring an upcoming film screening and Changemakers Panel that brings together the 2SLGBTQIA+ community for an evening of storytelling, conversation, and connection.
