Join our Board of Directors

As CCIA prepares to enter its second year, we are experiencing a period of meaningful growth. We are seeking engaged, reliable, and community-minded leaders to help steward this next phase and actively contribute to our mission and governance.

​Current Opportunities

Position: Board Member
Type: Volunteer

  • ​Secretary – Supports strong governance practices by maintaining accurate records, documenting meetings, and helping ensure organizational continuity during a period of growth

 

  • Director – Contributes to governance, strategic direction, and organizational development, bringing skills, perspective, and active engagement

What Board Membership Involves

Term: Board members commit to an initial 1-year term, with the opportunity for renewal. We value consistency and encourage members to contribute over multiple years where possible.

As a board member at CCIA, you will:

  • Attend regular board meetings

  • Actively contribute to discussions, decisions, and initiatives between meetings

  • Provide governance, strategic guidance, and oversight to support our mission

  • Help steward partnerships and support responsible organizational growth

  • Participate in committees or special projects as needed

  • Support fundraising initiatives and community outreach

  • Uphold our Conflict of Interest Policy and all organizational policies

  • Foster a safe, respectful, and professional environment

 

Estimated time commitment: ~3–5 hours per month

Board members are expected to participate consistently, follow through on commitments, and contribute meaningfully to the organization’s work.

We seek individuals who:

  • Are passionate about inclusive, creative communities

  • Can dedicate time and follow through on responsibilities

  • Bring experience or interest in nonprofit governance, arts, community development, fundraising, outreach, leadership, or law

  • Are thoughtful, reliable, and collaborative

  • Act in the best interest of CCIA and uphold strong ethical standards

  • Value integrity, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism

Volunteer Roles (Short-Term and/or Project-Based)

​Current Volunteer Roles

Event Support 

  • Help set up, run, and take down events (in-person or virtual)

  • Assist with guest registration, logistics, and audience engagement

  • Flexible hours depending on event schedule

Fundraising & Outreach 

  • Support campaigns, donor relations, and community engagement

  • Help spread the word about CCIA programs and initiatives

  • Bring creativity, connections, and enthusiasm to grow our impact

Workshop Facilitators

  • Lead or co-facilitate arts-based workshops that explore social justice themes

  • Use art as a teaching and engagement tool to spark dialogue and learning

  • Help participants explore creativity, reflect critically, and build community

  • Bring expertise, passion, and an inclusive approach to facilitation

Who We’re Looking For

  • Volunteers must be 19 years of age or older

  • Passion for inclusive, creative communities

  • Ability to commit time and energy to your volunteer role

  • Skills or experience relevant to your chosen area

  • Team players who value collaboration, kindness, and flexibility
