Our Origins

Foundations of Creativity, and a Future of Community Change

Our journey began with Sparkles n’ Sawdust Studio, a brick-and-mortar creative space recognized for its community impact, followed by Supernova Events, a social enterprise dedicated to inclusive, purpose-driven experiences. Together, these initiatives demonstrated how creativity can foster connection, strengthen communities, and support meaningful social impact.

Building on these experiences and guiding values, the Creative Community Impact Association (CCIA) was founded in 2025 as a federally incorporated nonprofit. CCIA is dedicated to supporting inclusive, thriving creative communities across Canada through accessible arts-based programming, education, collaboration, and innovative initiatives that advance arts-driven social impact.
