Governance

The Creative Community Impact Association is guided by a committed volunteer Board of Directors, working to strengthen inclusive and vibrant creative communities across Canada. Founder and Executive Director Jacquelyn Miccolis leads day-to-day operations, overseeing program planning and delivery to ensure every initiative aligns with our mission and creates meaningful, lasting impact.

Since our launch, CCIA has cultivated strong partnerships with community organizations, libraries, and local arts groups, enabling us to expand our reach and deliver programs that connect, inspire, and empower participants. Our Board and team continue to drive strategic growth, ensuring that each project not only engages communities but also fosters measurable social and cultural impact

(CCIA Bylaws 2.0 (Adopted December 2025)

Our Board of Directors is the heartbeat of CCIA’s mission.

They provide the vision, guidance, and support that help our organization grow, thrive, and make a real difference in the community.

Beyond oversight, our Board champions partnerships, advises on programs, and helps strengthen CCIA’s presence where it matters most.

Meetings

Our Board meets quarterly to guide CCIA’s programs and ensure we stay aligned with our mission. Each year, the Board holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to review the organization’s progress and conduct board elections.

To maintain transparency, summaries of key decisions and organizational highlights are shared with our community. This approach allows the Board to focus on governance and program impact while keeping supporters informed about our work.

Bylaws and Policies

As a federally incorporated nonprofit, CCIA operates under bylaws adopted at our inaugural Board meeting. These bylaws provide a clear framework for decision-making, accountability, and governance.

CCIA is also guided by comprehensive policies that reflect our values, including conflict of interest, code of conduct, and diversity and inclusion. Together, these frameworks ensure integrity, transparency, and inclusivity in everything we do.

Elections and Terms

Directors are elected by the members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and serve terms of up to two years, with the option to be re-elected for consecutive terms.

To support the organization’s growth and operational needs, the Board may also appoint additional directors at any time, up to the maximum of ten. Appointed directors serve until the close of the next AGM. This flexibility ensures continuity, strengthens governance, and allows CCIA to respond effectively as our programs and impact expand.

Transparency and Accountability

Transparency is at the heart of CCIA’s work. Full financial statements are available upon request for community members, partners, or stakeholders who wish to review them. Please contact us at info@creativecommunityimpact.ca to request these documents.

Accessibility

CCIA is committed to ensuring that our programs, events, and online resources are as accessible as possible. If you require support or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at info@creativecommunityimpact.ca.

Diversity and Inclusion

A thriving creative ecosystem depends on diverse voices and inclusive communities. CCIA is dedicated to fostering an environment that celebrates differences in culture, background, identity, and experience. This commitment is embedded across our Board, policies, and programming as we continue to grow and expand our reach.
